The Editor Character Analysis

Toward the end of the book, the fictional Editor of Pamela's letters tells the reader information about Mr. B that Pamela herself doesn’t know, which creates dramatic irony. The Editor also provides what is essentially the book’s epilogue and tells the reader the moral of the story: that God will reward virtuous people, regardless of the difficulties they face in life.
