Pamela: Letter 9 Summary & Analysis

Summary
Analysis
Pamela writes to her mother and father to tell them that she still hasn’t moved to Lady Davers place. Mr. B has apparently been stalling the move, claiming that he’s afraid Lady Davers’s nephew (Jackey) will take an interest in Pamela. In the meantime, Pamela hopes that God and Mrs. Jervis will help her stay strong.
Pamela seems to understand that there’s something unusual about the delay of her move to Lady Davers’s house, yet she doesn’t want to acknowledge it—either because she doesn’t want to make assumptions about Mr. B or because she doesn’t want her parents to worry.
