Danka Dresner Character Analysis

Danka Dresner is Juda and Mrs. Dresner’s daughter, Genia’s cousin, and Janek Dresner’s sister. She works as a clearing woman in a Luftwaffe (air force) base near Cracow. During the liquidation of the ghetto, she is temporarily separated from her mother when she is allowed to hide behind a fake wall, but her mother is forced to stay outside. Though she and her mother come close to dying when the “Schindler women” are shipped to Auschwitz, ultimately Schindler rescues them.
