Minghino di Mingole is one of ’s admirers in ’s fifth tale, and he fiercely fights with over her. Of the two, he seems to be a better suitor, cultivating her maid as a go-between and sending her love letters. Later, when Giannole tries to kidnap her, he rescues her and brings her home. Both because of his kind actions and because it turns out that Giannole is Agnesa’s brother, he becomes a happy lover when he gets to claim her as his bride in the end.
