Grandpa Will Character Analysis

Out of all her older relatives, Hannah finds Grandpa Will the strangest, because he occasionally has fits where he seems to think he’s back in the past. From an early age, Hannah is both fascinated and scared by the tattoo Grandpa Will has from his time in a concentration camp. Grandpa Will symbolizes how the past and present intersect, and over the course of the story, Hannah gains a better understanding of why he is the way he is.
