Dardanelov Character Analysis

Kolya Krasotkin’s world history teacher who stands up for Kolya when he gets in trouble with the other instructors, even after the boy shows him up during class by demanding that the instructor tell everyone who founded Troy. This is a prank against Dardanelov who, along with everyone else, doesn’t know the answer because Kolya is one of two known people in possession of the historian Smaragdov’s Universal History (Fyodor Pavlovich also has a copy in his library), which reveals the names of Troy’s original founders.
