Beshun Character Analysis

A woman with whom Shevek, while posted to a job at an afforestation project in the desert region at eighteen years old, has a brief but intense sexual relationship. Beshun helps Shevek to see that two people can never really possess each other, even if the intensity of their feelings for one another lead them to believe that they can (a fittingly Anarresti notion).
