Mrs. Wilmot is a fan of Austen Heller’s writings and wants to hire Roark to build a country house for her only because he is Heller’s architect. She has never seen the Heller house and knows nothing about Roark’s work. She tells him to build her a house in the Elizabethan style because her friends say it will suit her. Roark refuses to work for her and thinks of her as “a shell containing the opinions of her friends.”
