Dave Markowe Character Analysis

Dave Markowe is Bobbie’s husband. In the same way that Joanna believes Walter shares her feminist views, Bobbie thinks Dave is unlike the other men in Stepford—she thinks he values her for who she is and doesn’t care about things like housework. In reality, though, Dave is just like all the other husbands in Stepford, which he proves by turning her into an obedient and docile robot designed to do little more than please him.
