Linda and Bernadette Character Analysis

Linda and Bernadette are two sisters living in Altgeld; they each have a young child and Linda is pregnant again. They dream of going to college, buying a beautiful home, and having a garden. To Barack, they seem painfully young and innocent, although he knows that they must see him the same way. They’re instrumental figures in Barack’s attempts to organize Altgeld tenants when they discover that the apartments might contain asbestos.
