My Sister’s Keeper: 50. Thursday: Brian Summary & Analysis

Summary
Analysis
Brian, looking at the rain, thinks back to how the day of Anna’s birth was also marked by a torrential downpour. He remembers struggling to see through his windshield while driving Sara to the hospital. Later that night, although there were no stars out, Brian suggested naming their new baby Andromeda, like the princess who remained in the sky between her mother and father.
The parallel between this day and the day of Anna’s birth reflects just how important today is for Anna. Just as the day of her birth marked the start of her life, this day as the potential to grant her a new lease on her life—or, alternatively, prevent her from ever being able to grow on her own terms.
