NW: Visitation: Chapter 19 Summary & Analysis

Summary
Analysis
Pauline and Leah sit on a park bench with Olive and watch the traffic. As they’re talking, Leah suddenly gets a phone call. The voice on the phone is quiet but menacing. It tells her not to bother with “that girl” (Shar) and to stop pushing things through the door. When Leah asks who the caller is, he refuses to answer. She thinks it might be Nathan and that he might have some connection to Shar.
Leah ostensibly tried to help Shar by dropping off those pamphlets, but this only draws her into a conflict with a stranger, showing once again how being generous to others can be more difficult than it seems.
