Bridget Comfrey
Bridget Comfrey is the most beautiful girl of her generation. She works as a pot-maid at the Seventh Magpie and eventually marries Tommy Forester, with whom she has a daughter, Victoria. Bridget later forbids Victoria from working for Mr. Bromios as a pot-maid.
Mister Bromios
Mister Bromios owns the Seventh Magpie, the bar in Wall. He seems unusually knowledgeable about things beyond the wall, and he’s one of the men who works to get Tristran allowed back into Wall after Tristran’s journey through Faerie.
Tommy Forester
Tommy is a young man in Wall who eventually marries Bridget Comfrey. They have a daughter, Victoria Forester.
Alum Bey
Alum Bey is a tall, handsome stranger who comes to Wall for the Fairy market. He flirts with Bridget and fights Tommy for her attention, but Bridget runs to Tommy after the fight. Alum and Tommy drink in the Seventh Magpie after this.
Mr. Hempstock
Mr. Hempstock is Daisy’s father. He gives Daisy and Dunstan a flock of sheep when they marry.
Mrs. Hempstock
Mrs. Hempstock is Daisy’s mother.
Mrs. Thorn
Mrs. Thorn is Dunstan Thorn’s mother. She and Mrs. Hempstock pull strings to arrange Dunstan and Daisy’s marriage.
Mr. Brown
Mr. Brown owns Monday and Brown’s, the shop in Wall. He employs Tristran—and he refuses to let Tristran back through the gap in the wall after Tristran’s journey through Faerie.
Harold Crutchbeck
Harold Crutchbeck is a young man who guards the gap in the wall with Tristran.
Tertius
Tertius is the third son of the eighty-first Lord of Stormhold, and one of only three living sons at the time of his father’s death. Septimus kills him days later by getting the chambermaid Letitia to offer him poisoned wine.
Letitia
Letitia is a chambermaid at the inn where Primus, Tertius, and Septimus stay. She has sex with Tertius and unwittingly poisons him with wine that Septimus gave her.
Brevis
Brevis is a young boy whose mother sends him to sell the family’s goat at the market so they can afford food. He encounters Morwanneg, however, and tries to sell her the goat—and she turns him into a goat, too. The unicorn kills Brevis to protect Yvaine and Tristran.
Billy
Billy is a goat that Morwanneg takes from Brevis. She turns him into an old man who poses as her husband when she conjures the roadside inn. The unicorn kills Billy.
Meggot
Meggott is a member of Captain Johannes Alberic’s crew. She has medical knowledge and helps to heal both Tristran’s burnt hand and Yvaine’s broken leg.
Mrs. Cherry
Mrs. Cherry is the schoolmistress in Wall. She loves literature and poetry, and thanks to her tutelage, Tristran has numerous classic poems committed to memory.
Wystan Pippin
Wystan is a former classmate of Tristran’s. He refuses to let Tristran back into Wall when Tristran returns from his travels.
