The Tree Character Analysis

The tree is a beech tree who used to be a nymph. She turned herself into a tree to escape a prince’s unwanted advances. Pan visits her in a dream and asks her to help Tristran, and she follows through on this command. She tells him three helpful things, the third of which comes in the form of a leaf that Tristran can listen to when he needs help.
