Gelmir Character Analysis

Gelmir is an elf of Nargothrond and the brother of Gwindor. He’s captured and blinded by Melkor during the fourth battle of the Wars of Beleriand. Later, he’s taken from prison and brought onto the battlefield to be mutilated and killed in front of Gwindor and Fingon’s forces. His death begins the fifth battle of the Wars of Beleriand.
